Scotland’s Happiness Day is the positive event of the year promoting happiness and wellbeing in Scotland, with an emphasis on personal development, fun, compassion, kindness and community. In conjunction with the Smile Awards it is a celebration of the people and things in life that make us happy.
Happiness is good for us – it lifts our spirits, shifts our perspective, improves our health and wellbeing, can boost our economy and it’s contagious. Your happiness is not fixed you can add more by your everyday actions, by building positive relationships and by helping others.
Get involved in this year’s Happiness Day:
- Thank someone for their positive attitude and cheery nature by nominating them for a Smile Award.
- Get together with others and find ways to add more smiles and happiness to your day on Saturday 2nd November 2013.
- Pass your smile on to another person and share the happiness.
You can add more happiness and celebrate with our Smile Award winners at the Happiness Conference in Glasgow with a great mix of personal development experts, fun and laughter. But we want you to join in around the country too. Get together with family, friends and colleagues and be creative. You can help make other people happy by doing whatever you love and even raise money for charity at the same time. Check out the YOUR DAY section for suggestions and share your own plans.
